What's the schedule for The Automation Conference?

Tuesday, May 14 - Breakfast, tabletop exhibits and registration run from 7:00 until 8:00 am. Sessions take place from 8:15 am until 5:00 pm, with lunch served midday, and tabletop exhibits open throughout the day. An attendee cocktail reception will be held at the Marriott from 5:30 until 7:00 pm on Tuesday night.

Wednesday, May 15 - Breakfast, tabletop exhibits and registration run from 7:00 until 8:00 am. Sessions take place from 8:15 am until 3:00 pm, with lunch served midday, and tabletop exhibits open throughout the day.

How is this conference related to the Packaging Automation Forum (PAF)?

Automation World and Packaging World produced the popular PAF for several years. In 2012 we renamed the conference: The Automation Conference (TAC) and expanded the program to offer information for packaging, manufacturing and processing industry professionals. Our 2013 event will feature two days of general session keynotes, plus two breakout tracks for professionals in "Manufacturing & Packaging" and "Processing."

Will there be a discounted hotel room block available?

Yes, discounted rooms are available at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare by calling 800-228-9290 or 773-693-4444 and informing the reservationist that you would like to make a reservation under the group "The Automation Conference." All reservations must be booked by Monday, April 15 to ensure the discounted room rate of $185 (plus tax) for a single room. Visit our hotel page for more details.

What is the refund policy?

Cancellations received before April 1st will receive a full refund, less a $150 USD processing fee. Cancellations received on or after April 1st will forfeit the registration fee. Please note that registered attendees may make substitutions online at no charge, up to 48 hours in advance of the event.

Will there be transportation to the conference hotel?

The Chicago Marriott O'Hare offers complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and O'Hare Airport. Vans arrive every 20 minutes between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm. After hours, contact the hotel at 773-693-4444. Upon arriving at O'Hare, proceed to the Baggage Claim and follow the "Bus/Shuttle Center" signs to the nearest underground walkway; wait by Door 2.
